First things first
Not many people get to have their first dance lesson with Samia Mooney! In this course you’ll learn the fundamentals of dance including alignment and foot positions, plie & releve, as well as how to use your body and explore the first steps in classical dance training.
This course isn’t just for colorguard students, it’s the foundations of all dance, taught by a professional dancer and experienced dance instructor! If you want to participate in a drum corps like Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps, this is the course for you!

Meet your new instructor! Samia Mooney is a world-class dancer and dance instructor. She is the Director of Dance at Avon High School and the Movement Coordinator for the world-class Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps! Samia has extensive experience as a professional dancer, including in the Tony Award winning production Blast!
