Not attending an in-person 2024 Audition Experience Camp? That’s okay! Now you can audition for the Bluecoats virtually! Virtual auditionees will be scored on the same rubric, use the same audition sheet to receive written comments, and be considered on the same schedule as the in-person candidates!

We’re providing a free guide for every type of Virtual Audition submission. These guides include information on how to submit your video, expectations for what to include in your video, and even materials for you to practice and learn. For brass and percussion students, most of the materials expected in your video will come from your instrument’s Techniques & Materials packet. If there are materials not included in that packet that we are requesting you prepare and submit, they will be provided at no cost inside the free guide.

Guides are provided at no cost, and include supplemental sheet music for brass students and videos of choreography to learn and submit. These guides are provided above, and inside the Feedback Video portal after purchase.

Use of the official Bluecoats rubric for auditions! At Bluecoats, we have a time-honored scoring and rubric system that we use to find some of the best young performers on the globe! Your feedback video submission will be graded on this rubric so you know where you stand.

Personalized, written feedback from a Bluecoats instructor. Our world-renowned team comes from all over the world, and includes some of the US’s most renowned band directors and educators. Each feedback video will receive written feedback, provided via PDF.
